Trench Warfare: Trench warfare was used excessively on both sides during WW1. If was used as a defensive and strategy that would prevent the enemy from advancing along with being protected from enemy fire. But this tactic lead to stalemate for months at a time along with bad conditions in the trenches due to the fact that they are holes in the ground.
